Terms of Service

1. What Civessa is — and is not

Civessa is self-service software operated by Quantra Technology & Innovation, Inc. that runs automated, heuristic accessibility scans of websites and documents, generates candidate accessible equivalents of documents, and maintains records of that activity. Civessa is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and no attorney–client relationship is created by using the service. No attorney and no certified accessibility auditor reviews scan results, remediated documents, reports, or letters unless you separately engage one yourself.

2. Automated scanning is heuristic

Automated tools cannot detect every WCAG 2.1 AA failure, and passing our scans does not establish conformance with WCAG, ADA Title II, Section 504, or any other legal requirement. Scores and verdicts are triage signals to help you prioritize work. Full conformance requires human evaluation, including assistive-technology testing, that this service does not perform.

3. Your review obligation

Generated document remediations are drafts. You must review each remediated document for accuracy and completeness before publishing it, and you accept sole responsibility for anything you publish. The service records your acceptance acknowledgment (including this Terms version) in the evidence ledger.

4. Evidence ledger, reports, and letters

The evidence ledger, reports, and attestation letters (PDF or optionally mailed) document scanning and remediation activity. They are not certifications of compliance and no guarantee is made that they will satisfy any regulator, court, plaintiff, or insurer.

5. Website ownership and crawling authorization

Before we run a full inventory of a website, download its documents, or issue a certificate naming it, you must verify that you control that domain — either by publishing a DNS record we supply or by hosting a small verification file on the site. You further represent that you are authorized to have the websites and documents you register scanned and downloaded, and that doing so violates no third-party terms. You are responsible for the addresses you submit.

6. Credits, payment, and cancellation

Document remediations and optional physical mail consume prepaid credits. Downloadable PDF reports and letters do not. If a remediation or mailing fails after a credit is consumed, that credit is automatically returned to your balance.

Credits are non-refundable once consumed; unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase on request. You can change your plan, update your payment method, or cancel at any time from Billing on your dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your evidence ledger, reports, and document history remain available to you afterwards.

If a payment fails, your account keeps full access for seven days while we notify you. After that, scheduled monitoring, digests, and mailed letters pause until payment succeeds. Nothing is deleted.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Civessa's total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and Civessa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including legal claims arising from the accessibility of your websites or documents.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use and share it, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new version number above. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions? Email support@civessa.com.
